Solution Anticoagulant concentration of Sodium Heparin in Whole Blood:
Whole blood is drawn from a healthy donor usually 450 - 500 ml into a collection bag containing 50 ml sodium heparin stock solution.
Sodium Heparin stock solution is prepared by dissolving 140,000 USP units Sodium Heparin in 1,000 ml Water for Injection.

Anticoagulant concentration of Sodium EDTA in Whole Blood:
Whole blood is drawn from a healthy donor usually 450 - 500 ml into a collection bag containing 50 ml sodium EDTA stock solution.
Sodium EDTA stock solution is prepared by dissolving 15 gm Disodium EDTA in 1,000 of Sterile Water for Injection.

Anticoagulant concentration of Sodium Citrate in Whole Blood:
Whole blood is drawn from a healthy donor usually 450 - 500 ml into a collection bag containing 50 ml sodium citrate stock solution.
Sodium Citrate stock solution is prepared by dissolving 40 grams of Disodium Citrate in 1,000 ml of Sterile Water for Injection.

Each unit of whole blood yields an average of 230 ml of plasma.
